Carey Mortimer studied traditional painting techniques at City and Guilds of London Art School and fresco painting under the instruction of Leonetto Tintori in Prato, Italy. After completing an M.Phil. in Public Art and Design at Dundee University she launched her career as an artist. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of fresco, egg tempera, oil painting and gilding is demonstrated in her own contemporary paintings which have been exhibited in the UK and Europe since 1994. She has also carried out numerous public art commissions.
